Youth 4 Sustainability Empowers Future Leaders Under Khaled bin Mohamed's Patronage

Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) program is working to train young people to become leaders in creating a sustainable future. This event is part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025 (ADSW), and it helps young people from around the world learn how they can make the planet better.

Y4S started in 2016 and is organized by Masdar. The program gives young people the tools and knowledge they need for jobs focused on saving the environment. Over the years, Y4S has held many workshops and events that have helped over 740 young people learn about sustainability.

One part of the program, called Sustainability Ambassadors, is for high school students. This program lasts one year and teaches students about sustainability. They also get real-life experience by working on projects and attending important events where they can meet others who care about the planet. This helps them understand how they can support the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.

The Future Sustainability Leaders program connects university students and young professionals with leaders in business, government, and technology. The program also lasts for one year and teaches students new ways to help the planet, while also giving them chances to work and build connections.

Every year, Y4S holds a Youth Hub at ADSW. This event brings together over 3,500 young people from different parts of the world. During this event, they talk about climate change, share ideas, and learn how to create positive changes in the world.

The Y4S Forum at ADSW 2025 will give young people the chance to meet with experts and leaders. This event supports the UAE's goal to become carbon-free by 2050. It also gives young people the chance to share their ideas for creating a better, greener world.

Through Y4S, young people are gaining the skills and experience they need to become leaders in fighting climate change. With these skills, they will help make the world a better place for everyone.
