Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, recently opened the multi-sensory exhibition, *The Sublime Nature of Being*, at the Summer Garden of ICD Brookfield Place. This special event is organized in partnership with the ICD Brookfield Place Arts Programme, which focuses on showing how art can enrich daily life and bring attention to talent from local, regional, and international artists. The exhibition will be open for visitors until February 22.

This immersive exhibition showcases a fascinating collection of works created by contemporary artists from across the globe. It invites visitors to reflect on their personal connection to life’s fleeting moments of wonder and beauty that go beyond words, awaken the senses, and remind us of the simple joy of being alive.

During her visit, Her Highness explored the exhibition and admired the diverse artworks, each representing a unique and meaningful artistic journey. She praised the originality and creativity behind the ideas, styles, and presentation techniques that made each piece stand out. Her Highness also interacted with several participating artists, appreciating their visionary approaches and the outstanding quality of their work. She emphasized how these artworks highlight the deep bond between humans and nature while also enriching Dubai’s lively cultural scene.

Her Highness noted that this exhibition offers a global experience that mirrors Dubai’s vibrant and diverse cultural landscape. She explained that it also reflects Dubai’s inspiring atmosphere, which encourages creativity and fosters meaningful connections between cultures. This, she added, further strengthens Dubai’s reputation as a global center for art, innovation, and exceptional talent.

The exhibition is curated by Ambika Hinduja Macker, an artist and founder of the art and design company Impeccable Imagination. Her artistic vision is the foundation of this exhibition, which reimagines her 2022 immersive art experience. *The Sublime Nature of Being* explores the mysteries of the natural world, featuring innovative works from renowned contemporary artists. The exhibition celebrates the powerful relationship between the five elements—Water, Fire, Earth, Air, and Spirit—inviting visitors into a world that transcends the physical realm.

For this exhibition, Macker blends these elements with a modern interpretation of the Japanese concept of ‘Ukiyo,’ which means living in the moment and letting go of life’s worries. Visitors to the exhibition embark on a sensory journey where the flowing nature of water refreshes the soul, the energy of fire ignites passion, the stability of earth offers grounding, and the lightness of air inspires freedom. The essence of spirit connects all these elements, creating a deep resonance with the human experience. This experience reminds visitors of the pure beauty of the universe and the interconnectedness of all living things.

Speaking about the exhibition, Ambika Hinduja Macker said, “Dubai’s dynamic energy and spirit of innovation, which ICD Brookfield Place represents, make it the ideal location for an exhibition that celebrates the powerful and transformative connection of the five elements. I am honored to bring such talented artists together and invite audiences to experience this sanctuary of natural beauty.”

Malak Abu Qaoud, Director of the ICD Brookfield Place Arts Programme, shared, “We saw a natural connection between the vision of *The Sublime Nature of Being* and the spirit of ICD Brookfield Place. Our space has always aimed to inspire creativity and spark meaningful cultural conversations. Through this exhibition, we are proud to offer visitors an immersive experience that celebrates the power of art and encourages reflection, creativity, and a deeper bond with the natural world and human life.”

The exhibition offers visitors a peaceful space for reflection and inspiration, reminding them of the calming and uplifting power of art and creativity.
