The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), in partnership with Dubai’s Financial Audit Authority (FAA), celebrated the graduation of the second group of students from the ‘Professional Diploma - The Government Auditor’ programme. This programme was created to help government auditors gain advanced skills, improve their expertise, and prepare them for success in the field of auditing.
A total of 26 graduates, representing 16 government departments in Dubai, completed the programme. These graduates were awarded the ‘Professional Diploma - The Government Auditor’ certificate, which is recognized by MBRSG and FAA.
His Excellency Abdulrahman Al Hareb, Director General of the FAA, expressed his pride in the graduates. He said: “The hard work and dedication of the second group of graduates have made this success possible. This programme supports our goal of strengthening the skills of national talent in financial auditing. It also promotes integrity and accountability in government work. The programme equips participants with the knowledge and tools they need to improve government financial operations. This aligns with Dubai’s vision of promoting lifelong learning and professional growth to boost government efficiency and achieve sustainable progress.”
His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, shared his views, saying: “Our support for this programme, in partnership with the FAA, reflects Dubai’s commitment to transparency, integrity, and efficiency. These values are essential to delivering excellent services to the public and maintaining the UAE’s position as a global leader in government excellence.”
Dr. Al Marri continued, “The programme has trained skilled government auditors with specialized knowledge in financial auditing. By building their skills and deepening their understanding, we are confident these graduates will play a key role in protecting public funds and improving auditing practices.”
The ‘Professional Diploma - The Government Auditor’ is aimed at fresh graduates, candidates seeking roles in government audit departments, and junior auditors with up to two years of experience.
The programme focuses on:
Developing the skills of government auditors, particularly those working with the FAA and Dubai government.
Retaining top talent by encouraging professional loyalty.
Promoting transparency, integrity, and accountability in financial auditing.
Participants in the programme learn essential skills, get help preparing for professional certifications, and work with experienced auditors to gain real-world insights.
The programme is divided into two parts: theoretical learning and practical training, and it lasts for a total of 90 days. Upon completing the course, participants receive a certificate accredited by MBRSG and FAA.
The curriculum covers 27 training modules that help improve both technical and administrative abilities. Topics include future government planning, UAE’s strategic goals, modern government management, and key auditing techniques. Specialized topics include compliance auditing, financial statement review, data analysis, ethics in auditing, and Dubai’s financial regulations.
This programme aims to prepare participants for the challenges of government auditing and equip them with the knowledge needed to maintain the highest standards in their field.
