Darboe, originally from Gambia, shared his excitement about joining Bayern Munich. He said, "A big dream has come true for me. It’s nice to see how far I’ve come. It was always my goal to play for this amazing club. Now that it’s happening, I feel very proud. I am still getting over the jet lag, but I’m feeling good and ready to play."

Before joining Bayern, Darboe played for LAFC's reserve team and also trained with the Philadelphia Union’s academy. He has also played two times for the U.S. under-17 national team.

Bayern Munich and LAFC have a partnership to help develop young football players through the Red&Gold Football brand. This partnership helps young players like Darboe get better opportunities in the sport.

Darboe’s move to Bayern is part of a growing trend where American players are moving to top European teams. Bayern Munich believes Darboe has a lot of potential and hopes he will improve even more with their coaching and training. The club is excited about his future and hopes to see him play in the first team one day.
