Saudi teacher wins $1 million Global Teacher Prize at World Govt Summit

Saudi Arabian teacher Mansour bin Abdullah Al-Mansour has won the GEMS Education Global Teacher Prize for his hard work in teaching and helping people. He has spent more than 3,000 hours as a volunteer, giving his time to support his community. He has helped many students, especially orphan children who are very talented, by guiding them and giving them a better chance for a good future.

The award was given to him by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE. He is also the Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. This award was started by the Varkey Foundation to honor great teachers who work beyond the classroom to change lives.
