The World Government Summit 2025 started today in Dubai. Many leaders, government officials, and experts from different countries came together to talk about new ideas, better ways to run governments, and plans for the future. His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, attended the event. Their visit showed how much the UAE cares about improving governments and making better rules for people.

During their visit, they went to the Edge Government exhibit, a special display made by the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation. This exhibit showed 10 big ideas from 19 countries. These ideas were picked from more than 150 projects from all over the world. The goal of these projects is to solve big problems using smart solutions and modern technology.
His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed spoke about why new ideas are important in government. He said that governments should always try to improve and think in new ways. This will help them be ready for future problems and make better plans to help people. He also praised the UAE for being a place where leaders and experts can come together to share ideas and create better ways to run countries.
Sheikh Khaled also said that the World Government Summit is important because it brings together world leaders to talk about making governments work better. He explained that the UAE is always working to improve government systems with new ideas and modern technology. This will help solve today’s problems and make the future better.
Many important people also attended the summit, including His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports and Emirates Airline Group; His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court; His Excellency Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications; His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; and His Excellency Abdulla Al Basti, Secretary General of the Dubai Executive Council.
