The academy was set up by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) during Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week in May 2024. It works with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI). This academy was made to make Abu Dhabi a leader in health services and modern healthcare methods. It helps train workers to do their jobs better and care for the health of the community.
Healthcare workers learned many important things, like how to use advanced tools in radiology, cardiology, and data analysis to predict health issues. The courses were made for all kinds of healthcare workers, from top managers to daily staff, so everyone can learn to use these tools better in their jobs.
Dr. Rashed Obaid Alsuwaidi, who leads the Department of Health team in planning for the healthcare workforce, said the academy shows how much the department wants to help healthcare workers do better in their jobs. He said that giving workers the newest tools and skills will improve healthcare services in Abu Dhabi. The academy also helps improve health checks and make care more personal, keeping Abu Dhabi ahead in healthcare services and protecting the health of its people.
Sultan Al Hajji, a leader at MBZUAI, said he is happy to work with the Department of Health on this academy. He said this teamwork helps build better healthcare in Abu Dhabi. MBZUAI helps teach healthcare workers to use new tools that can make care smarter and more accurate. This teamwork also helps Abu Dhabi be seen as a leader in new healthcare ideas, setting an example for others to follow.
The academy is focused on teaching, research, and new ideas. It works with other organizations to share knowledge, find better ways to care for people, and plan for the future. The academy also makes sure it has enough funds to keep working and bringing in new ideas.
The academy is helping healthcare workers get ready to use new methods that improve care and help patients. This makes sure Abu Dhabi stays one of the best places in the world for healthcare.
