The magic of Khaleeji music returns to Khorfakkan as the city on Sharjah's east coast begins the New Year with a grand concert at Khorfakkan Amphitheatre on Saturday, January 25, 2025. This amazing concert will take place in a beautiful setting, overlooking the stunning Khorfakkan beach and other natural wonders of the city. The amphitheater will welcome Saudi oud maestro Abadi Al-Johar and talented young Saudi singer Zeina Emad.

Abadi Al-Johar, a Saudi music legend, has been creating beautiful music for more than five decades. Since he began his music career in 1968, Abadi has made a huge mark on Arabic music. He is known as 'Akhtabout al-Oud,' which means 'Octopus of the Oud,' because of his extraordinary skills with the oud, a traditional string instrument. His playing style has made the oud an instrument that tells deep and emotional musical stories.

Abadi is not only a great oud player but also a talented composer. He has worked with some of the most famous Arab artists, and his collaborations have become some of the most-loved songs in Arabic music. One of his well-known works is the 1978 song "Tawila Ya Durub Al-Ashiqin," which he created with the late artist Talal Maddah. He also worked with the famous Warda Al-Jazairia on a duet called "Zaman Ma Hu Zamani," which was released in 2012. His work has made him one of the greatest musicians in the Arab world.
