This year’s Oscars, held on March 2, was filled with many unforgettable moments, but one moment that caught everyone’s attention was the kiss between Halle Berry and Adrien Brody on the red carpet. The kiss happened while Adrien Brody was with his girlfriend, Georgina Chapman.
For those who may not remember, back in 2003, Halle Berry kissed Adrien Brody on stage after she presented him with the Oscar for Best Actor. The moment surprised a lot of people back then, and now, over 20 years later, Halle Berry gave him another kiss on the red carpet at the Oscars.

Georgina Chapman, who was right there with Adrien, seemed perfectly okay with it. Speaking to Extra, she said, “It was (quite the moment), wasn’t it?" She continued, “I mean, how can you deny a man a kiss with Halle Berry?” Chapman made it clear that she had no problem with it at all. She added, “He was more than fine.”
Halle Berry also spoke about the kiss. She said, "Twenty-one years I’ve been waiting to get him on a red carpet and slap one on.” Berry also mentioned that the kiss only happened because Georgina Chapman was perfectly fine with it.
Besides this memorable red carpet moment, Adrien Brody also made headlines for winning the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in The Brutalist. The film also stars Felicity Jones, Joe Alwyn, Raffey Cassidy, Emma Laird, and many others.
This was Adrien Brody’s second Academy Award. His first win came in 2003 when he won Best Actor for The Pianist.
Other incredible actors who were nominated in the same Best Actor category this year included Timothée Chalamet for A Complete Unknown, Sebastian Stan for The Apprentice, Colman Domingo for Sing Sing, and Ralph Fiennes for Conclave.
