Supporting Investment in PropTech
This partnership also shows Dubai Land Department's dedication to growing the real estate sector by attracting a specialized US-based investment fund focused on proptech. REACH is one of the world’s most active investment funds in this field, with over 300 investments globally. The collaboration will help position Dubai as a top hub for innovation and sustainable real estate. It also supports Dubai’s Real Estate Strategy 2033, which aims to enhance the city’s role as a global leader in the real estate market.
Signing the Agreement
The agreement was signed by His Excellency Eng. Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Land Department, and Dave Garland, Managing Partner of REACH Ventures. Senior officials and executives from DLD also attended the signing ceremony.
How the Partnership Will Work
Under this agreement, Dubai Land Department will promote the REACH Middle East programme through its media platforms, connect with investors and partners, and provide regulatory support for startups. DLD will also share insights about Dubai's real estate market and help companies test their new technologies in real-world situations.
Meanwhile, REACH will manage the programme, select promising startups, offer mentorship and funding, and provide access to its global network of investors and industry experts. With DLD's support, REACH will also set up its regional office in Dubai, helping attract top talent and cutting-edge innovations to the city’s real estate market.
A Vision for Smart Real Estate Investment
His Excellency Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, Director General of DLD, expressed his excitement about this new initiative, stating: “This agreement is a big step forward for Dubai Land Department as we work to bring more technology and innovation into the real estate sector. Our goal is to make Dubai the top choice for real estate investment in the world. We will continue to support startups and create the right environment for them to grow. This will lead to new and sustainable real estate solutions and further strengthen Dubai’s global leadership in the sector.”
Dave Garland and Tyler Thompson, Managing Partners of SCV and NAR REACH, also shared their enthusiasm: “REACH has grown worldwide through strong partnerships with organizations that believe in using technology to improve the real estate industry. Working with DLD is a key milestone as we bring this vision to the Middle East. We are excited to make Dubai a global center for real estate innovation by attracting groundbreaking solutions and creating a dynamic ecosystem for the future of the industry.”
With this partnership, Dubai Land Department is showing its commitment to adopting the latest technologies, supporting startups, and ensuring Dubai remains one of the most advanced and sustainable real estate markets in the world.
