UAE Tour Highlights UAE’s Strength in Hosting Global Sports Events

ABU DHABI, 22 February 2026 – The Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) said that the successful organisation of the UAE Tour has once again highlighted the UAE’s leading position in hosting major international sporting events. The council noted that the event reflects the country’s strong capabilities in planning and delivering world-class sports competitions.

Aref Hamad Al Awani, Secretary-General of ADSC, congratulated the UAE leadership on the outstanding success of the eighth edition of the UAE Tour. He praised the high standards of preparation, coordination, and execution, saying the event demonstrated professionalism and attention to detail at every stage.

Al Awani also congratulated UAE Team Emirates on winning the title, describing the achievement as a valuable addition to the UAE’s growing sporting record. He praised the dedication and hard work of the riders, along with the efforts of the management, technical, and administrative teams, giving special recognition to the champion rider for an exceptional performance.

He further expressed his appreciation to sponsors, partners, volunteers, media representatives, and the organising committees for their commitment and teamwork. Al Awani said their combined efforts played a key role in delivering a successful event that strengthened the UAE’s reputation as a leading global destination for international sports events.
