The Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced that the United Arab Emirates was targeted in a missile attack involving ballistic missiles launched from Iran.
According to the Ministry, UAE air defense systems responded quickly and efficiently, successfully intercepting several of the incoming missiles. Authorities also managed the fall of missile debris in a residential area, which caused some material damage.
The debris resulted in the death of one civilian of Asian nationality. No further casualties were reported. Officials confirmed that the overall security situation across the UAE remains stable, and all concerned authorities are closely monitoring developments around the clock.
The Ministry strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a dangerous escalation and a cowardly act that targeted civilian areas and national institutions. It stressed that such actions threaten the safety of civilians and undermine regional stability.
The Ministry further stated that the attack represents a clear violation of the UAE’s national sovereignty and international law. It affirmed that the UAE reserves the full right to respond to this escalation and to take all necessary measures to protect its territory, citizens, residents, and national interests.
Authorities also confirmed that they are fully prepared to deal with any threats and that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure the country’s security and stability. The safety of citizens, residents, and visitors remains a top priority.
The Ministry urged the public to rely only on official sources for accurate information and to avoid spreading rumors or unverified reports.
