Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers under Dubai Chambers, has opened a new office in Bogotá, the capital city of Colombia. This new office is designed to improve economic relations and promote the growth of trade and investment between Dubai and Colombia.
With this new office in Bogotá, the Dubai International Chamber now has a total of 33 representative offices worldwide. The opening is part of the larger ‘Dubai Global’ initiative, which aims to have 50 offices worldwide by the year 2030. This initiative is important for Dubai because it helps attract investment from other countries and supports Dubai-based businesses in expanding into important global markets.

The opening of the Bogotá office comes at a time when the economic relationship between Dubai and Colombia is growing. In 2023, non-oil trade between the two countries reached AED 1.9 billion, which is more than 51% higher than the previous year. As of September this year, 131 Colombian companies were registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, the President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, commented on the opening by saying, “We are focused on expanding our network of offices to strengthen Dubai’s trade and investment ties around the world. Our goal is to bring foreign investment to Dubai and help Dubai businesses grow into new markets. Latin America is an important region for us, and there is a lot of potential to boost trade and investment between Dubai and Colombia.”
The Bogotá office will play an important role in helping businesses from both Dubai and Colombia. It will work with the Colombian business community, build partnerships with public and private sector leaders, and promote Dubai as a place for business. The office will also help Colombian companies that want to enter the Dubai market and use Dubai as a base to expand globally.
Additionally, the Bogotá office will support Dubai-based businesses that want to enter the Colombian market. It will provide valuable information about the market, show companies where trade opportunities exist, and connect businesses with important local partners and stakeholders in Colombia.
Overall, the new office in Bogotá will help strengthen the growing economic relationship between Dubai and Colombia and create more opportunities for businesses in both regions to grow and succeed.
