The couple is currently receiving counseling at the Bhopal family court
After a 10-day trip to Ayodhya and Varanasi, a woman from Madhya Pradesh is filing for divorce, asserting that her husband had initially promised a honeymoon in Goa. The case has reached the Bhopal family court, as reported by the Free Press Journal on January 19.
According to the woman, both she and her husband are employed, with the husband working in the IT sector and earning a substantial salary. Financially secure, the couple had the means to go abroad for their honeymoon, yet the husband allegedly insisted on a domestic destination.
Despite discussions about visiting Goa or South India, the husband purportedly booked flights to Ayodhya and Varanasi without informing his wife. The woman claims that only a day before the trip did her husband disclose the altered plans, attributing it to his mother's desire to visit Ayodhya before the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony.
While the wife did not object to the trip initially, upon their return, she approached the family court seeking a divorce. In her statement, she also asserted that her husband displayed more concern for his family members than for her.
In response, the husband dismissed his wife's concerns, labeling them as an exaggeration. Presently, the couple is undergoing counseling at the Bhopal family court as they navigate the complexities of their strained relationship.
