His Excellency Saleh Mohammed Al Geziry, who leads tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi, said that hosting this event is part of Abu Dhabi’s plan to help travel and tourism grow. He said this forum will bring together experts from the travel world to share ideas, make strong business connections, and find ways to improve the tourism industry in the Middle East and other countries. He also said that the partnership between Skift and DCT Abu Dhabi proves how working together can help the travel industry move forward.
Skift Global Forum East is the Middle East’s version of Skift Global Forum, which happens every year in New York, USA. The main event in New York has helped bring new ideas and progress to the travel world. The event in Abu Dhabi will also focus on new travel ideas, the latest technology, and ways to help the tourism industry grow.
Last year, this event took place in Dubai, and more than 500 people from 32 countries attended. The forum had discussions about experiential travel (travel that gives people deep and special experiences), new technology, and how artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the travel industry. Many business leaders and decision-makers joined, making it a great place for travel professionals to learn and connect.
Rafat Ali, CEO and Founder of Skift, said he is excited that the event will happen in Abu Dhabi in Q4 2025. He said this forum is one of the most important gatherings for travel leaders and company owners. It helps people learn about new ideas and trends in travel, hear from expert speakers, and meet other important people in the industry. He said Abu Dhabi is a great place for this event because it has a mix of culture, new ideas, and world-class hospitality. He also thanked the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi for working together to make this event possible.
This year’s event will also include special projects that will help improve the travel industry. One of these projects is Meet Generation Next, which will support young and experienced female leaders in travel and tourism. The goal is to help more women become leaders and make sure the industry is open to everyone.
The DCT Abu Dhabi and Skift partnership is part of a bigger plan to help Abu Dhabi grow as a travel and business hub. By working with important companies like Skift, Abu Dhabi is making sure it stays a top destination for events and tourism. The Skift Global Forum East 2025 will bring together important people in travel, making it an event that will shape the future of the industry.
