OpenAI, the company that made ChatGPT, is planning to launch new smart computer programs called AI agents. These AI agents will help people do special jobs like writing computer code, doing deep research, and office work. OpenAI wants to make more money by selling these smart tools.

A report from The Information says OpenAI will have different AI agents at different prices. One AI agent, made for office workers, will cost $2,000 per month. Another AI agent, made for software engineers, will cost $10,000 per month.
The most expensive AI agent will be for expert researchers. It will cost $20,000 per month. This AI agent will help people study deep topics, just like PhD researchers do.
OpenAI has not said when these AI agents will be available. But reports say that SoftBank, a big investor in OpenAI, has already decided to spend $3 billion on these AI tools in 2024.
In February 2024, OpenAI launched a smart AI tool called Deep Research. This tool searches the internet and makes research reports, just like human experts.
These new AI agents will help businesses and workers save time and do smart work. But they are very costly, so only big companies or rich professionals may be able to buy them.
