UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is also the ruler of Abu Dhabi, has made a decision to change the setup of the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC). Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan will still lead the council, while Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will be the Vice-Chairman.

The new decision also includes naming important people to the council. These people are Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Dr. Ahmed Mubarak bin Nawi Al Mazrouei, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai, and Peng Xiao.
The AIATC was started in January 2024 to create rules and plans for new technology in Abu Dhabi. Its goal is to help Abu Dhabi become a leader in using technology, by supporting research, getting investments, and building connections with other people and companies around the world.
