Sultan bin Ahmed Witnesses UOS and Shams Sign Cooperation Agreement

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, President of Sharjah University, and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, watched the signing of an agreement between Sharjah University (UOS) and Sharjah Media City (Shams) on Wednesday. The goal of the agreement is to improve and support the "Master of Science in Media Leadership and Digital Innovation" program. This program was started by the University of Sharjah, Shams, and the University of Barcelona.

The agreement was signed at Sharjah University by His Excellency Prof. Hamid Al Naimiy, the Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, and Rashid Abdullah Al Obad, the Director of Sharjah Media City. This agreement shows how Sharjah University wants to offer top-quality education by working with respected institutions. It also shows that Sharjah Media City wants to help media professionals and business people in the region.

The program aims to teach students about new media fields, helping them learn both theory and practical skills. Students will learn how digital media works in a global world and understand the important parts of media such as content creation, management, and technical systems. They will also learn about the economics and management of these areas. The program encourages students to be entrepreneurs and to develop their own projects.

The agreement says that the College of Communication at Sharjah University will handle the academic side of the program, while Shams will provide support for finances, visiting teachers, and research. Shams will also help by giving case studies related to the media field and organizing lectures by experts. A mentoring program will also be set up to guide students by professional leaders in the media industry.

Students will have the chance to join workshops and use the facilities of Sharjah Media City to do research and build their skills. Shams will give the students a free two-year license to work on their projects within the city, with an option to extend it for another year. This agreement shows how the two organizations are working together to help build the future of media leaders in the region.
