During the meeting, they talked about improving business and services in Sharjah to help the city grow. They also discussed some new decisions and laws that will benefit the people of Sharjah.
One of the important decisions was about changing the rules for fees in Sharjah. The council decided to add a new fee for sewage services. The fee will be 1.5 fils for every gallon of water used, based on the bills from the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority. However, UAE citizens will not have to pay this fee. This new rule will start on April 1, 2025.
The council also approved a new plan for how the Public Works Department should be organized. This new plan will help the department work better and do its job more efficiently.
