The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation is organizing many jiu-jitsu competitions during Ramadan to help the sport grow and support athletes. These events show how much the federation cares about jiu-jitsu and its important values like discipline, patience, hard work, and respect. These values match well with the meaning of the holy month.

This year, the Ramadan competitions include big tournaments. The Hafeet Sport Challenge will happen on March 10, 2025, at Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Stadium in Al Ain. The Mother of the Nation Jiu-Jitsu Cup will take place from March 11 to 13, 2025, at Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy in Abu Dhabi. This event gives female athletes of all ages a great chance to show their talent. Another important event, the Jiu-Jitsu President’s Cup, will have its first round on March 20, 2025, at Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi.
Abdullah Al Zaabi, who is the Head of the Events and Activities Section at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, said that organizing these competitions during Ramadan shows the federation’s effort to bring people together and encourage a healthy lifestyle. He said that Ramadan is the perfect time to promote sports and jiu-jitsu in the community. These competitions do not just provide exciting matches but also bring people closer. He also said that these tournaments help find new talented athletes, improve their skills, and keep them active in a good and disciplined environment. It also allows them to stay fit and strong during Ramadan.
The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation is working hard to make the sport bigger and more popular. With the support of clubs and sports academies, these competitions attract top athletes who want to compete at the highest level and get ready for future events. The federation hopes that through these efforts, more people will become interested in jiu-jitsu and help the UAE grow stronger in the sport.
