His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, attended the signing of a major agreement aimed at promoting active and healthy lifestyles across the UAE.
The agreement was signed between the Emirates Council for Balanced Development and the Higher Organising Committee of Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026. The partnership focuses on encouraging sports participation and building a strong sports culture in Emirates Villages.
This strategic collaboration supports the UAE’s national priorities for health and quality of life. The main goal is to motivate people of all ages to stay active and take part in sports throughout their lives.
Under the agreement, both sides will work together over the next five years to create a measurable, community-based physical activity system. The plan includes launching community programs that promote physical fitness, providing sports equipment, and improving sports facilities in Emirates Villages.
The signing took place during the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026. Officials said the aim is to turn the event’s energy and excitement into long-term benefits for communities. By doing so, the initiative will help build healthier, more active communities across the country.
The partnership reflects the UAE leadership’s strong commitment to improving public health and enhancing the overall quality of life for citizens and residents.
