The Ramadan Majlis, organised by the Sharjah Press Club (SPC) under the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), is completing 15 years as a key platform for open discussion and community engagement in Sharjah.

Over the years, the Majlis has become a respected space where people connect through culture, ideas, and knowledge exchange. It has hosted constructive discussions on topics that matter to the public, featuring intellectuals, creatives, and professionals from different sectors.

So far, the Ramadan Majlis has held 85 sessions covering themes such as culture, sports, arts, health, and other community-related topics. More than 230 speakers have participated, helping the Majlis maintain strong public interest and audience engagement.

Tariq Allay’s Statement

His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of SGMB, said the Ramadan Majlis was created as a valuable community space. He noted that over the years it has brought together culture, ideas, and human experiences through sessions that reflect people’s interests and daily concerns.

He added that this year’s programme continues the same approach, with sessions designed around public interests and the Majlis’s role as a community platform.

The Sharjah Press Club continues to support and organise initiatives that benefit journalists, media professionals, and the wider community, encouraging learning and intellectual impact.
