Real Madrid beat Mallorca to secure spot in Spanish Super Cup final

Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo helped Real Madrid win 3-0 against Real Mallorca on Thursday. This win sent them to the Spanish Super Cup final, where they will play against their rivals Barcelona. Madrid will try to get revenge for their big loss to Barcelona in La Liga in October.

Bellingham scored the first goal in the 63rd minute after a rebound. Mallorca’s Martin Valjent scored an own goal in the last minute, and Rodrygo added a third goal close to the end of the match in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Madrid’s fans cheered loudly for their team, and Madrid never looked like losing control of the game. Rodrygo said, "It’s always hard to play against them, but we are ready, doing well, and we want this trophy." He also praised Bellingham, who has been in great form recently, scoring eight goals in his last ten games for Madrid.

Madrid started the game strong, with Lucas Vazquez and Rodrygo having chances to score early on. Mallorca, who were last season's Copa del Rey runners-up, got better as the match went on and stopped Madrid from scoring in the first half.

In the second half, Madrid lost Aurelien Tchouameni after he bumped his head in a challenge. Thankfully, he said he was okay after the match. The first goal came when Bellingham scored a rebound after Mallorca's goalkeeper made some good saves.

Tchouameni praised Bellingham, saying, "Jude is a great player. He helps us win with goals, assists, or his hard work." Even though Vinicius and Mbappe didn’t play their best, Ancelotti said their skills still helped Madrid’s attack. "When all the forwards play well, anything can happen," said Ancelotti.

Mallorca had trouble getting back into the match and even helped Madrid score a second goal when Valjent accidentally put the ball into his own net. Rodrygo then scored a third goal to seal the victory for Madrid.

At the end, there was a bit of pushing between the two teams, especially between Mallorca's Pablo Maffeo and Madrid's Raul Asencio. Ancelotti said, "There was no need for that... in the end, nothing happened, but no one needed to do that." Madrid won and will now face Barcelona again in the Super Cup final, hoping to defend their title.
