Israeli Tanks Enter North Gaza, 6 Killed, Homes Destroyed

Following Netanyahu's remarks, Hamas's armed wing released a video purportedly showing preparations for anti-tank weaponry, signaling ongoing defiance amidst the conflict. Meanwhile, Israeli forces in Shejaia reported killing Palestinian gunmen and discovering military infrastructure within a United Nations school, alongside weapons and intelligence documents.

The situation remains tense with ongoing clashes in Shejaia and Rafah, where Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters reportedly engaged Israeli forces with anti-tank rockets and mortar bombs. Efforts by Arab mediators, backed by the U.S., to broker a ceasefire have stalled, as Hamas insists on a permanent resolution including an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, while Israel seeks only temporary pauses until Hamas is neutralized.

The conflict, which began with Hamas incursions into southern Israel, has resulted in significant casualties and destruction on both sides, with Gaza's health ministry reporting nearly 38,000 deaths mostly civilians, while Israel has suffered losses among its soldiers.
