Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office, expressed her gratitude to all the partners involved. She appreciated their contributions in organizing various events and activities that enhanced the Ramadan festivities. She also mentioned that this campaign supports the ‘Year of Community’ initiative announced by the UAE leadership. This initiative aims to strengthen cooperation, foster a sense of belonging, and preserve cultural heritage.
Al-Marri emphasized that this second edition of #RamadanInDubai reflects Dubai’s role as a global city that values diversity and inclusivity. She highlighted how the campaign aligns with the city’s commitment to promoting tolerance, kindness, and harmony while celebrating traditions passed down through generations. She added that building on the success of last year’s campaign, this year’s edition brings together various Ramadan initiatives under one platform. The campaign uses creative storytelling and different media platforms to showcase Dubai’s Ramadan celebrations to both local and global audiences. It reinforces Dubai’s status as a destination that offers rich cultural experiences.
Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, also thanked the campaign’s partners for their strong teamwork and support. She acknowledged that the collaboration was a key reason for the success of the first edition last year. She highlighted that teamwork continues to be a major factor in Dubai’s achievements across different fields.
“The campaign brings together Ramadan celebrations from across Dubai, creating an experience that highlights the beauty of the Holy Month. As the city lights up with creativity and festivity, Brand Dubai is committed to showcasing these celebrations in a way that truly reflects their cultural and spiritual importance,” Al Suwaidi said. She also pointed out that the media plays a crucial role in sharing these celebrations with a wider audience. Through extensive coverage, the campaign highlights various cultural, social, religious, and sporting activities that make Ramadan in Dubai a special time for all.
Several key organizations are supporting the second edition of #RamadanInDubai, including the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, the Community Development Authority, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, Majid Al Futtaim, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA-Dubai), Dubai Media, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, Expo City Dubai, Dubai Health Authority, the Museum of the Future, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Holding, Ferjan Dubai, and Dubai Sports Council.
Brand Dubai, which is leading the execution of the campaign, is introducing a range of initiatives to highlight the city’s Ramadan experiences. One of the highlights is a collaboration with RTA to decorate Dubai’s streets with beautiful Ramadan-themed lighting. Visitors arriving in Dubai will also receive a special #RamadanInDubai stamp on their passports, thanks to a partnership with GDRFA.
Another exciting initiative is the ‘Dubai’s Best Decorated Ramadan Homes’ competition, launched in partnership with Ferjan Dubai. This contest encourages residents to decorate their homes and neighborhoods with creative Ramadan-themed decorations. Additionally, key mosques across the city will feature special projection displays as part of the campaign.
This year’s #RamadanInDubai campaign features a range of events and activities that bring the spirit of Ramadan to life. Residents and visitors can enjoy cultural festivals, heritage activations, and family-friendly entertainment. Iconic locations in Dubai will be decorated with stunning light displays and projection shows. Ramadan markets will offer unique handcrafted goods and traditional foods, while exclusive shopping promotions and extended mall hours will provide exciting retail experiences.
People can also enjoy special iftar and suhoor meals at some of Dubai’s most beautiful locations. Families will have access to Ramadan-themed outdoor parks, storytelling sessions, and live cultural performances. Additionally, sports and wellness activities will encourage a healthy and active lifestyle throughout the month.
Beyond the celebrations, the campaign also focuses on acts of kindness. Humanitarian initiatives will provide meals for those in need, support charitable causes, and encourage the spirit of generosity. Community-driven programs will offer opportunities for people of all ages to participate in educational workshops and volunteer work.
The traditional Ramadan Cannon, managed by Dubai Police, will continue to mark the time for iftar. This year, the cannon will be placed in eight fixed locations and 17 rotating sites across the city, allowing more communities to experience this cherished tradition.
Public spaces will be transformed into welcoming gathering areas where people from different backgrounds can come together to share the joy of Ramadan. By blending culture, compassion, and celebration, #RamadanInDubai ensures that the Holy Month is a time of reflection, unity, and unforgettable experiences for everyone in the city.
