Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 12 December 2024 – Arab Health, the largest healthcare event in the Middle East, has once again shown how important it is for Dubai’s economy. In 2024, the event brought in $269.7 million, helping key areas like tourism, hotels, transportation, and healthcare businesses.
Tourism and hotels were big winners, with visitors spending over $56.2 million on places to stay during the event. On average, visitors stayed in Dubai for 5.7 nights. In the future, Arab Health is expected to bring more than $1.2 billion to the economy between 2026 and 2028. Out of this, hotel stays alone could bring in more than $341.6 million.
The 50th edition of Arab Health will be held from 27–30 January 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Organizers are expecting over 3,800 exhibitors and more than 60,000 visitors to attend, making it one of the biggest healthcare events in the world.
Ross Williams, who manages the event for Informa Markets, said, “For 50 years, Arab Health has helped Dubai grow in healthcare and other areas. The 2025 event will celebrate this long history and show how the event helps bring visitors, fill hotels, and grow healthcare investments. By inviting the world to Dubai, we are creating new partnerships that will shape the future of healthcare.”
Arab Health began in 1975 with only 40 exhibitors. Over the years, it has grown into a global event where new healthcare ideas are shared. It has introduced big changes in healthcare, from digital imaging in the 1980s to today’s advanced tools like AI-powered diagnostics.
In 2025, Arab Health will include the Future Health Summit, which will explore the newest trends and technologies in healthcare. A new section called the World of Wellness and Healthcare ESG Forum will focus on eco-friendly and healthy living ideas. These plans match Dubai’s vision for a sustainable and green future.
Another special part of the event will be the Astronaut Al Worden Endeavour Scholarship. This program helps young scientists and engineers, showing the UAE’s support for healthcare and science.
Doctors and healthcare workers at Arab Health 2025 will also be able to join nine educational conferences. These will cover many topics like radiology, surgery, emergency medicine, infection control, and public health. There will also be forums on Women in Healthcare, Digital Health and AI, and Healthcare Investments.
The event will introduce new spaces like the Al Mustaqbal Hall, which will feature first-time exhibitors, and the Eco-sphere, which will focus on health, wellness, and eco-friendly products. Visitors can explore areas for physiotherapy, prevention, orthopaedics, and general healthcare services.
Arab Health 2025 is supported by important organizations like the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, Dubai Health Authority, and Dubai Healthcare City Authority. The event has been a leader in healthcare for many years, bringing people from around the world together to create new ideas and improve healthcare for everyone.
