Dubai, UAE:
In honour of the UAE’s 54th National Day and in tribute to the nation’s enduring values of unity, inclusivity, and progress, Zed — the homegrown ride-hailing platform — has launched an inspiring citywide initiative titled ‘United in the Journey.’ As part of this month-long campaign, 54 Zed cabs have been transformed into vibrant moving canvases, each wrapped with original artwork created by People of Determination from the Rashid Centre for People of Determination and Senses Residential and Day Care for Special Needs.
Running from 2 December 2025 to 2 January 2026, the initiative blends creativity with purposeful social impact. During this period, a share of all earnings generated from the 54 art cabs will be donated to NGOs supporting children, individuals of determination, and healthcare-focused philanthropic organisations.
A Mobile Tribute to Inclusion and Creativity
The campaign’s core mission is to bring art, empowerment, and community spirit to Dubai’s streets while reinforcing Zed’s vision of building a human-first mobility ecosystem. Each cab showcases hand-drawn illustrations collaboratively created by artists from both centres, symbolising movement, connection, and national pride.
The artwork features iconic Dubai landmarks, the UAE flag, the country map, and expressive motifs such as a heart surrounded by children waving UAE flags. Through bold colours and heartfelt imagery, the artists share their own interpretations of unity, belonging, diversity, and hope—turning every ride into a meaningful cultural experience.
Leadership Speaks
“National Day is a moment to celebrate who we are as a nation — united in values, aspiration, and humanity. We are honoured to partner with the Rashid Centre and Senses Centre and to showcase the remarkable creativity of their artists,” said Badr Al Ghurair, CEO of Zed. “Mobility should represent more than movement; it should reflect dignity, connection, and purpose.”
Echoing this vision, Abhinav Patwa, Executive Vice President & Head of Zed, added:
“This initiative embodies what Zed stands for: human-first innovation and community-driven impact. The artwork created by People of Determination is exceptional, not only in its beauty but in the powerful message it conveys about resilience, imagination, and unity. By bringing these illustrations to the streets, we highlight the essential role of inclusion in shaping Dubai’s future.”
Reinforcing the UAE’s Commitment to Empowerment
‘United in the Journey’ aligns with the UAE’s long-standing commitment to empowering People of Determination and providing inclusive platforms that celebrate their achievements. Through public art, storytelling, and daily rider engagement, the campaign transforms National Day into a shared moment of reflection, pride, and appreciation.
With thousands of residents and visitors expected to encounter the art cabs daily, the initiative aims to spark meaningful conversations, encourage community involvement, and inspire other organisations to adopt inclusive and accessible practices.
