The 9th Xposure International Photography Festival will start tomorrow in Aljada, Sharjah. This big event is organized by the and brings together photographers, filmmakers, and artists from all over the world. The festival will run from February 20 to 26 and will have over 300 famous photographers and filmmakers. Visitors will get to see more than 2,500 pictures in 100 exhibitions, join 50 workshops, and listen to experts share their knowledge.

This year’s theme is "Nothing is Bigger Than the Picture." It shows how photos can tell important stories about people, culture, and world events. The festival is spread over 49,000 square metres and will have exhibitions, talks, and interactive experiences.
Some of the world’s most famous photographers will attend. Sir Don McCullin is well known for his war photography, Greg Gorman is an expert in taking pictures of people, and James Nachtwey is a top photojournalist. George Steinmetz and other artists will display different photography styles like documentary, fine art, and creative photography. Nature lovers will see stunning pictures of wild animals and beautiful places, while travel photography will take visitors on a journey to different parts of the world.
The festival will also have workshops for both new learners and experienced photographers. One exciting workshop is the Drone Photography Masterclass, where people can learn how to take pictures from the air. Other workshops will teach skills like photojournalism, documentary photography, fashion, and portrait photography. Experts will guide visitors on how to use light, angles, and editing tools to improve their photos.
For the first time, the festival will have a special photography tour bus called the Xposure Tour Bus. This bus will take visitors around Sharjah to capture its culture, buildings, and nature with help from professional photographers. There will also be portfolio review sessions, where new photographers can show their work to experts and receive useful advice to improve.
One important event at Xposure 2025 is the Conservation Summit, which will take place on February 24. The theme this year is "Migration and Ecosystem Impact." Experts, including HE Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Shamsi, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, will talk about how the movement of people and animals affects nature. The event will use strong images and real stories to help people understand the importance of protecting nature and fighting climate change.
Another exciting part of the festival is the film screenings. Visitors will get to watch documentaries about nature, people, and important world problems. These films will show how photography can tell real-life stories and inspire people to take action.
The festival is supported by many partners and sponsors. Arada Developments LLC is the official partner, while Sharjah Electricity, Water & Gas Authority, Al Marwan Group Holding L.L.C, Invest Bank, and Albaddad are strategic partners. Other sponsors include Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and Shurooq. Cultural partners such as the House of Wisdom and Sharjah Performing Arts Academy are also helping with the festival.
For people who love photography, the trade show will display the latest cameras, lenses, and equipment from famous brands like Fujifilm, Nikon, Grand Stores, Leica, Samsung, and ALPA of Switzerland. Visitors can explore and try out the newest photography technology.
Xposure 2025 is open to everyone, and entry is free. Visitors can enjoy photo exhibitions, join workshops, and listen to experts. This festival is a great place for anyone who loves pictures, storytelling, and filmmaking.
