Noatum Maritime & ASRY Partner to Expand Marine Services in Bahrain

Noatum Maritime, a key part of AD Ports Group’s Maritime and Shipping Cluster, has joined forces with Arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard Company (ASRY) to provide top-quality marine services in Bahrain. The two companies have formed a joint venture (JV) to improve the current marine operations at ASRY Shipyard and later expand their services to other clients in the country.

The goal of this partnership is to enhance ASRY’s marine service offerings by using Noatum Maritime’s advanced fleet and deep industry knowledge. At first, the JV will focus on towage and mooring services, using Noatum Maritime’s existing vessels. Operations will begin with four ASD tugboats and a mooring boat, replacing ASRY’s current fleet. Over time, the JV plans to expand its capabilities by introducing more services from Noatum Maritime’s extensive range of maritime solutions.

To ensure a smooth transition, the JV will keep ASRY’s current workforce, allowing operations to continue without disruption. By bringing in Noatum Maritime’s expertise in harbor towage, marine logistics, and offshore operations, the partnership aims to increase efficiency, introduce best industry practices, and create a scalable business model.

This move is a significant milestone for Noatum Maritime, as it marks the company’s first international expansion offering a complete range of marine services. While Noatum Maritime already provides towage services in various regions, including Mauritius, Mozambique, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Oman, this venture represents a new level of commitment to delivering end-to-end solutions.

Captain Ammar Al Shaiba, CEO of AD Ports Group’s Maritime and Shipping Cluster, emphasized that this partnership strengthens the company’s presence in the region. He added that the collaboration would allow them to apply their expertise in marine services while ensuring high-quality operations with a modern, efficient fleet.
Ahmed AlAbri, CEO of ASRY, expressed confidence in the joint venture, stating that partnering with Noatum Maritime is a major step forward in enhancing ASRY’s marine services. He highlighted that Noatum Maritime’s experience and advanced fleet would help set new benchmarks for efficiency, reliability, and service excellence in the industry.

With this strategic alliance, ASRY and Noatum Maritime aim to elevate Bahrain’s marine services sector and provide world-class solutions that meet global standards.
