On the February 20 episode of The Kardashians, Kim opened up about her past struggles with performing, especially compared to North’s stage presence. She admitted that while North is completely at ease under the spotlight, she was never as confident when it came to performing.
Kim's Pride and Nerves Backstage
Backstage at The Lion King event, Kim, 44, couldn’t hold back her emotions. She confessed that watching North perform made her feel a mix of pride, nervousness, and overwhelming emotions. "I couldn’t be more proud and more nervous and more emotional — I’m like, gonna just cry the whole time," she admitted.
However, North wasn’t nervous at all. She reassured her mom that it was no big deal, casually saying, “It’s not that crazy.”
Not Ready to Be a "Momager"
Kim also shared that she had been hesitant about letting North take part in the performance. She joked that she wasn’t quite ready to step into the role of a full-time "momager" like her own mother, Kris Jenner. Referring to Kris’s signature look, she laughed, saying, “I’m not ready for the pantsuit and short haircut yet.”
Kim’s Dancing with the Stars Struggles
While reflecting on North’s growing confidence, Kim remembered her own time on Dancing with the Stars in 2008. She had competed with professional dancer Mark Ballas but didn’t make it far, finishing 11th. Looking back, she admitted she had frozen on stage and couldn’t perform the way she had hoped.
"I couldn’t do what she’s doing on Dancing with the Stars at 30, so no," Kim said. "I froze."
North’s Bright Future in the Spotlight
Despite her early hesitation, Kim now believes that North is destined for an entertainment career. She even recalled multiple spiritual mediums telling her that North would have a big career and there would be no stopping her.
"Every time I go to a medium, they always say, ‘Your dad’s coming through to tell you that you’re not gonna be able to stop North. She wants to have a big career; you’re not gonna be able to hold it back.’"
It seems like North is already proving them right!
