Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, led a special ceremony to honour the winners of the 21st Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA). The event took place at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi and celebrated businesses that have shown outstanding performance, innovation, and leadership.

The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award has played a key role in supporting businesses by recognizing their success in areas such as strategic planning, efficiency, and innovation. The award encourages companies to work towards excellence, making them more competitive and sustainable. During the ceremony, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted the importance of promoting a culture of excellence in organizations. He spoke about how innovation and technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), can help businesses grow, improve productivity, and stay ahead in a fast-changing world. He also emphasized the need for businesses to use advanced tools to adapt to both local and global market trends.
At the event, seven outstanding companies were recognized for their leadership in the business sector. These companies have demonstrated forward-thinking strategies, growth potential, and a strong commitment to innovation. Their contributions align with the UAE’s vision for a strong and sustainable economy.
His Excellency Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), also spoke at the event. He explained how excellence and innovation drive both economic and social progress. He said that under the UAE’s leadership, Abu Dhabi’s economy continues to grow, attracting businesses, investors, and talented individuals. The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award plays a big role in this progress by encouraging businesses to innovate and achieve new milestones.
His Excellency further stated that ADCCI remains dedicated to helping businesses overcome challenges and prepare for the future. By supporting companies in their journey, Abu Dhabi ensures long-term economic strength and prosperity.
The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award has been organized by ADCCI since 1999. The program supports Abu Dhabi’s vision of expanding business opportunities both locally and internationally. It helps Abu Dhabi-based companies grow beyond the UAE while also welcoming global businesses to the region. This contributes to a competitive and thriving private sector.
During the ceremony, the SKEA Office announced changes to its Board of Trustees. His Excellency Saeed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim has been named Honorary Chairman. His Excellency Dr. Yasir Al Naqbi, Director General of GovAcademy, will serve as the new Chairman of the Board of Trustees. His Excellency Badr Salim Sultan Al-Olama, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, has been appointed Vice Chairman. The board also includes Mouza Obaid Al Nasri from Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, along with ADCCI board members Noor Al Tamimi, Marwa Al Mansoori, and Ahmad Al Mosa.
The event also featured the unveiling of SKEA’s new brand identity, which reflects Abu Dhabi’s economic ambitions. The fresh brand design represents progress, innovation, and the goal of creating a positive impact. It encourages companies to embrace new technologies, improve operations, and contribute to the wider community.

Archireef – Recognized for its innovative coral reef restoration efforts using 3D-printing technology to support marine ecosystems in Abu Dhabi.
Shorooq – Awarded for its efforts in supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through innovative investment and business management models.
Union Copper Rod – Honored for its high-quality copper manufacturing, helping supply major industries worldwide and strengthening Abu Dhabi’s global presence.
Pure Harvest Smart Farms – Recognized for revolutionizing agriculture in Abu Dhabi using advanced hydroponics and climate-controlled farming to grow fresh crops in desert conditions.
Joud Coffee – Acknowledged for combining creativity with community engagement and becoming a cultural hub in Abu Dhabi.
Hamda Al Fahim Design Studio – Awarded for its contributions to fashion, bringing Abu Dhabi’s style industry onto the global stage.
VCharge – Honored for expanding Abu Dhabi’s electric vehicle (EV) charging network and making sustainable transportation more accessible.
The ceremony reinforced the UAE’s commitment to recognizing and promoting business excellence. By encouraging companies to embrace innovation and efficiency, the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award continues to shape a dynamic and competitive business environment in Abu Dhabi and beyond.
