Emirates & Garuda Indonesia Strengthen Partnership for Expanded Collaboration

Emirates and Garuda Indonesia have introduced an exciting new opportunity for frequent flyers. With their latest partnership, Emirates Skywards and GarudaMiles members can now earn and redeem miles on a combined network of over 200 destinations. This means more travel options, more rewards, and a better experience for passengers of both airlines.

A Stronger Partnership

The collaboration between Emirates and Garuda Indonesia began in 2022 with a codeshare agreement. Since then, the two airlines have worked closely to improve travel benefits for their loyal customers. Now, with this enhanced loyalty program, members of both frequent flyer programs can enjoy greater rewards and flexibility while traveling.

The agreement was officially signed during the Aviation Festival Asia 2025 by Dr. Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates Skywards, and Rahmaniar, Miles & Ancillary Group Head of Garuda Indonesia. This event marked a new milestone in the partnership, showing their commitment to providing better services for their passengers.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his excitement about the collaboration. He stated:

How Members Benefit from This Partnership

The new loyalty program offers several benefits for Skywards and GarudaMiles members:

  1. More Places to Explore: Members can earn and use miles when flying with Garuda Indonesia to 37 domestic destinations in Indonesia and over 15 international destinations.

  2. More Miles for Every Flight: Members flying with Garuda Indonesia can earn up to 1 Skywards Mile per mile traveled in Economy Class, 1.25 Skywards Miles per mile in Business Class, and 2 Skywards Miles per mile in First Class.

  3. More Ways to Use Miles: Miles can be redeemed for flights with Garuda Indonesia in both Economy and Business Class, with redemptions starting at just 8,000 miles.

  4. Exclusive Rewards for All Members: GarudaMiles members can also earn and use miles for flights with Emirates, enjoying rewards on both airlines.

  5. Better Travel Connectivity: Emirates currently operates two daily flights to Jakarta and Bali using its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft. Through their partnership, Emirates and Garuda Indonesia offer seamless connections for passengers traveling across the Americas, Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
