Following the directives of the Ruler of Sharjah, which focuses on improving social stability and ensuring a good quality of life for residents, the Council approved the first group of beneficiaries for residential and investment land grants. A total of 2,000 individuals were selected, with 1,200 granted residential plots and 800 receiving investment land. These grants are distributed across various cities and regions within the emirate.
Additionally, the Council reviewed a comprehensive study regarding housing in Sharjah, projecting plans up to the year 2050. This study aims to create a long-term, well-structured housing strategy that considers the current state of housing while predicting future needs. The study also seeks to implement policies that ensure sustainable and modern housing solutions for the emirate.
The significance of this project lies in its goal to provide a clear and realistic framework for population growth within Sharjah’s cities and regions. It also aims to develop a structured roadmap for housing efforts, utilizing innovative and sustainable building methods.
During the presentation, officials outlined the timeline for completing the study, along with its key focus areas, including social, urban, and economic aspects. The study is designed to align with the long-term vision of the Government of Sharjah, ensuring that the emirate continues to provide well-planned and sustainable housing for its residents.
