Sheikh Zayed Festival is set to add a vibrant international flavour this December as it joins Bahrain in celebrating its National Day, turning the festival grounds into a shared space of culture, music and tradition. The celebration reflects the close bonds between the UAE and Bahrain and highlights the spirit of unity that connects the two nations.
On 16 December 2025, visitors to the festival will witness landmarks illuminated in the colours of both the UAE and Bahrain flags, creating a striking visual symbol of friendship and mutual respect. The lighting displays will be accompanied by a diverse programme designed to appeal to families, tourists and culture enthusiasts alike.
The festival’s schedule includes musical performances, theatre shows and traditional heritage activities that showcase the cultural richness of Bahrain while blending naturally with the UAE’s own traditions. Folk music, artistic displays and live performances will offer visitors an engaging way to experience the shared values, history and celebrations of the two countries.
Heritage activities will play a central role, giving guests an opportunity to explore customs that reflect everyday life, craftsmanship and artistic expression from the region. These experiences are intended to deepen cultural understanding while adding to the festive atmosphere that the Sheikh Zayed Festival is known for.
By marking Bahrain National Day within its programme, the festival continues its role as a platform that brings cultures together, celebrating regional connections through meaningful and enjoyable experiences. The event promises a lively, colourful and memorable celebration that highlights shared joy and long-standing ties between the peoples of the UAE and Bahrain.
