Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, welcomed His Excellency Christopher Luxon, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, at Wahat Al Karama in Abu Dhabi. This visit was part of an official trip to the UAE.

When the Prime Minister arrived, he was greeted with a formal guard of honor. He then went to the martyr’s monument and laid flowers to honor the brave soldiers who gave their lives for the UAE.
Sheikh Theyab told the Prime Minister about the meaning of Wahat Al Karama. This place honors the brave men and women of the UAE who made great sacrifices to protect their country. The memorial reminds everyone of the courage and strength of the UAE heroes.
Sheikh Theyab also talked about how the UAE and New Zealand have built strong ties in many areas. He praised the support both countries' leaders have shown to work together for the benefit of both nations.
The memorial, Wahat Al Karama, shows the UAE’s respect and gratitude for the soldiers who died while protecting their country. It stands for the values of heroism, courage, and sacrifice.
At the end of his visit, the New Zealand Prime Minister wrote a message in the guestbook at Wahat Al Karama. In his message, he expressed his respect and admiration for the UAE’s fallen heroes, strengthening the friendship between the two countries.
