UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held bilateral talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, focusing on strengthening economic and development cooperation between the two countries.
The discussions centered on enhancing collaboration under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Both leaders explored ways to expand cooperation across several key sectors, including economy, trade, renewable energy, technology, artificial intelligence, sustainability, food security, and culture.
The meeting also marked the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UAE and Indonesia. Diplomatic ties were established in 1976, and both sides described the milestone as an important opportunity to further deepen their strategic partnership.
Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the steady progress in relations between the two nations and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to advancing economic and development partnerships with Indonesia for the mutual benefit of both countries and their people.
In addition to economic cooperation, the two leaders exchanged views on regional and international issues of shared interest. They stressed the importance of promoting peace and stability at regional and global levels, and emphasized the need for political solutions to ongoing crises.
The meeting reflects the growing strength of UAE-Indonesia relations and their shared vision for sustainable development and long-term cooperation.
