Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, 22 October 2025:

In a landmark development that marks a new era for the Northern Emirates, Marjan, the master developer of freehold properties in Ras Al Khaimah, and RAK Hospitality Holding, the government-owned investment and development arm, have officially announced a strategic merger. The unified entity will operate under the Marjan brand, combining decades of expertise in hospitality, real estate, and lifestyle-driven developments into a single world-class organization.

This merger strategically aligns with RAK Vision 2030, reinforcing the Emirate’s ambition to become a regional leader in livability, tourism, and economic opportunity. By integrating real estate development, hospitality operations, and lifestyle experiences under one umbrella, Marjan is poised to become one of the largest and most influential real estate developers in the UAE while cementing its position as the premier master developer in the Northern Emirates.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of Marjan, remarked:
"RAK Vision 2030 has set a bold agenda for the Emirate to emerge as a pioneer in sustainable development, livability, and opportunity creation. This merger exemplifies our commitment to these objectives, generating high-value jobs for Emiratis, nurturing national capabilities, and establishing Ras Al Khaimah as a beacon of innovation and investment. Together, we are shaping thriving communities that reflect the Emirate’s vision for sustainable prosperity and global competitiveness."

The merger brings together Marjan’s landmark masterplans and RAK Hospitality’s extensive hospitality expertise, enabling the unified organization to deliver enhanced residential, leisure, and tourism experiences. Signature projects such as Al Marjan Island, RAK Central, Marjan Beach, and the Jebel Jais masterplan are expected to elevate the quality of life for residents, attract regional and international investors, and reinforce Ras Al Khaimah as a world-class destination for tourism, business, and lifestyle.

Aligned with the goals of RAK Vision 2030, the merged entity aims to welcome 3.5 million annual visitors, create nearly 20,000 hotel keys, and provide diverse investment opportunities that foster economic diversification and sustainable growth.

Abdulla Al Abdouli, Group CEO, emphasized:

"This merger is a strategic milestone that positions Marjan as a global lifestyle and investment hub. By leveraging our combined expertise, we will deliver iconic projects, world-class amenities, and innovative community developments, attracting top-tier talent and investments while driving long-term prosperity for the Emirate."

With this merger, Marjan is uniquely positioned to spearhead the next chapter of Ras Al Khaimah’s growth, offering distinctive lifestyle offerings, boosting hospitality and tourism, and establishing the Emirate as a magnet for world-class talent, investment, and innovation. The merger underscores Ras Al Khaimah’s commitment to sustainable development, economic diversification, and regional leadership in real estate and hospitality.
