Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has shared her first post on Instagram since her wedding with music composer Palash Muchhal was postponed on November 23. The wedding was delayed after Mandhana’s father, Srinivas, suddenly fell ill and had to be admitted to a hospital in Sangli, the couple’s hometown. The following day, Palash also faced a health scare and was hospitalized. Both have since been discharged, but neither family has announced a new date for the wedding, leaving fans waiting for updates.
In her recent Instagram post, which was part of a paid collaboration with a popular toothpaste brand, many fans noticed that Mandhana was not wearing her engagement ring. This observation sparked discussions and curiosity across social media platforms. Additionally, Mandhana has removed all posts related to the wedding from her social media accounts, which led to speculation among fans, though both families clarified that the postponement was strictly due to health emergencies and not any personal issues.
Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, expressed hope that the wedding will take place soon and highlighted how both families are coping with the emotional stress caused by the unexpected events. Meanwhile, Palak Muchhal, Palash’s sister, shared that the situation has been extremely challenging for both families and urged people to stay positive and supportive during this difficult time.
Despite the setback, Mandhana has received an outpouring of support from fans and well-wishers, including her teammates and close friends, who have reached out to comfort her. The cricket star continues to focus on her career while managing the personal challenges arising from the wedding delay, and fans remain hopeful for the couple’s happiness in the near future.
