Tucked within the glittering sprawl of Dubai lies a jungle. But not one of trees and vines—this is a jungle made of colors, joy, and wonder. It’s a place where stories are celebrated, creativity runs wild, and every corner pulses with life.
This place is called Jungle Fiesta.
And the voice behind it is Shiny Oommen.
But this story doesn’t begin with Jungle Fiesta. It begins with a little girl growing up in Dubai, holding dreams in her eyes—dreams woven with music, art, emotion, and the desire to build something truly her own.
Dubai, for Shiny, wasn’t just home—it was her first teacher. “Growing up here taught me how to embrace diversity, how to dream without limits, and how to be flexible when life changed direction,” she says.
As an alumna of Our Own English High School, Dubai, Shiny was shaped by a culture that championed academic excellence, self-expression, and the courage to think differently. Her later education added business grounding to her artistic instincts, helping her blend creativity with strategy. “My education gave me structure, but Dubai gave me wings,” she reflects.
Together, these influences shaped her into someone who believed in growth through grit—and magic through meaning.
There was one quote Shiny held close:
“The only way to do great work is to love what you do.”
It wasn’t a Pinterest mantra for her—it was a compass.
After exploring traditional career paths, she found herself restless. “I wanted something that felt like mine. Something bold, filled with creativity, and rooted in purpose.” She walked away from the predictable and chose to create something new.
That “something” would become Jungle Fiesta.
The vision behind Jungle Fiesta wasn’t just about themed parties. It was about wonder. “I wanted people to walk in and feel like they’d stepped into a story. Like they were somewhere completely alive,” she says.
She chose a jungle theme—not just for its playfulness, but for what it represents. “The jungle is wild. It’s vibrant. It’s full of discovery. That’s what I wanted people to feel.”
And it wasn’t just decor. Shiny filled the space with her soul—her balloon art, fruit carving, poetry, music, and storytelling. “Jungle Fiesta isn’t just a venue. It’s an experience. It’s me.”
Beyond being an entrepreneur, Shiny is a certified coach in Emotional Intelligence and the Law of Attraction. Her desire to coach came from something deeper.
“Real transformation starts when we heal the heart and believe in ourselves again,” she explains. “Helping people unlock that power—that’s my deepest passion.”
Her coaching work isn’t separate from Jungle Fiesta—it breathes through it. Her leadership is soft-spoken but powerful, rooted in empathy, vision, and belief.
There was one client—after a particularly meaningful event—who said to Shiny, “You didn’t just organize something. You gave us memories we’ll carry forever.”
That was the moment it all clicked. “That’s when I knew this wasn’t just a business. It was my calling.”
Shiny doesn’t treat her artistic skills as hobbies—they’re her language. Her balloon art, especially, has touched lives in unexpected ways.
She once taught balloon art to children with disabilities. They not only learned—but turned it into a source of income. “That broke me open in the best way,” she says. “It showed me that creativity can lift people. It can give dignity, independence, pride.”
That experience would go on to shape the values of Jungle Fiesta: Empowerment. Inclusivity. Purpose.
In 2017, Shiny was hand-picked by famed music director Deepak Dev during Channel D’s iTunes event. She later performed live with him in Dubai. “That moment—it was electric. It taught me what it means to be fully present. Fully alive.”
She’s also been featured on TV for her balloon artistry, which she sees as far more than decor. “Balloons are joy in color. They speak of imagination, possibility, and the beauty in the simplest things.”
The feedback Shiny treasures most isn’t in business stats—it’s in the quiet thank-yous. “When someone tells me we gave them joy… that we made them feel seen… that’s when I know I’m doing something right.”
Jungle Fiesta, to her, is about more than parties. “It’s about belonging. Connection. Celebration of who we are.”
In the next few years, Shiny wants to grow Jungle Fiesta into a creative hub—offering workshops, retreats, and deeper experiences for people of all ages.
She’s also eager to expand her coaching and mentoring, especially for women and young people who feel unsure of their voice. “I want to help people believe in their own fire again,” she says.
Her dream isn’t to build an empire—it’s to build a legacy.
“I want to be remembered not for what I built, but for how I made people feel. If someone finds hope, courage, or light because of something I created—that’s success.”
If Shiny could go back in time and talk to her younger self—the girl with big eyes and even bigger dreams—she’d say this:
“Trust the journey. The path won’t be straight. You’ll fall, you’ll doubt. But your heart knows. Keep listening to it. Keep creating. One day, everything will come together in ways more beautiful than you can imagine.”
Shiny Oommen is not just a woman who built a venue. She’s a woman who built a world—where art heals, voices rise, and even the quietest soul finds space to bloom.
Through her, Voices of UAE doesn’t just tell a story.
It hears a heartbeat.
And it echoes.
