Fujairah, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, attended the graduation ceremony of 535 students from the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in Fujairah, held at the Zayed Sports Complex, underscoring the pivotal role of education in shaping the nation’s future and empowering youth with the skills required for a rapidly evolving global job market.
During the ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the importance of equipping young Emiratis with future-ready skills that foster innovation, creativity, and leadership, enabling them to emerge as the next generation of changemakers contributing to the UAE’s comprehensive development.
His Highness reaffirmed the unwavering support of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, for advancing education across the emirate. He emphasized that investing in youth remains a central priority in shaping the nation’s growth, nurturing talent, and sustaining long-term development.
As part of the ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed presented graduation certificates to students completing Applied Bachelor's degrees and Professional Diplomas in diverse disciplines, including Health Sciences, Applied Media, Computer Information Science, Engineering Technology and Science, Business Administration, and Education. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, encouraging them to continue learning, refine their skills, and embrace emerging trends to actively contribute to national progress and transformation.
His Highness also acknowledged the efforts of HCT’s administrative and academic staff, as well as the graduates’ families, recognizing their critical role in supporting students to achieve outstanding academic results.

In his remarks, His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports and Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology, expressed profound appreciation for the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi. He noted that this gracious gesture reflects the Crown Prince’s commitment to supporting education, fostering academic excellence, and inspiring youth to engage actively in the UAE’s developmental journey. Dr. Al Falasi commended the graduates for their achievements, describing them as a model of academic excellence, equipped with practical skills and competencies that enable innovation, competition, and contribution to a sustainable knowledge-based economy.
He further elaborated that HCT continues to enhance its educational system to meet the demands of a rapidly changing labor market. Strategic investments in technology and artificial intelligence, along with strengthened collaborations with key economic sectors, ensure that graduates are well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to the realization of the UAE 2031 Vision and the UAE Centennial 2071 plan.
During the ceremony, H.E. Dr. Faisal Al Ayyan, President & CEO of HCT, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Board of Trustees to the UAE’s wise leadership for their continued support, which has enabled HCT to successfully prepare students as distinctive national competencies. Dr. Al Ayyan praised the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, which has guided Fujairah to achieve notable advancements in human, cultural, and economic development, emphasizing human empowerment and the nurturing of national talent aligned with the UAE’s vision of an innovative, knowledge-based society.
Dr. Al Ayyan also highlighted HCT’s strategic focus on academic excellence and graduate employability, emphasizing the creation of a dynamic educational ecosystem capable of anticipating and responding to future workforce trends. He noted that the institution fosters a supportive community that cultivates confidence, ambition, and a strong sense of belonging among students.
On behalf of the graduates, Maryam Hasan Al Samahi expressed deep gratitude to the UAE leadership for its unwavering support of Emirati youth and for providing exceptional opportunities for growth and empowerment. She extended her appreciation to HCT faculty for their dedication in preparing students for the workforce and acknowledged the invaluable support of parents and families in making this milestone possible.
The HCT Fujairah Campuses graduation ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of H.H. the Crown Prince of Fujairah; H.E. Dr. Faisal Al Ayyan, President & CEO of HCT; Ms. Mona Al Mteiri, Executive Director of HCT Fujairah Campuses; senior officials; parents; families; and members of the academic and administrative staff.
This landmark event underscores the UAE’s commitment to fostering educational excellence, investing in youth, and preparing a generation of leaders and innovators equipped to drive the nation’s sustainable development and global competitiveness.
