Sheikh Mohammed Approves Dh3.7bn Plan for Dubai's Internal Roads

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has approved a transformative five-year plan aimed at enhancing the emirate's road infrastructure. The initiative, led by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), includes 21 major projects spanning 12 key residential, commercial, and industrial areas across Dubai. With a total investment of Dh3.7 billion, the plan will add 634 kilometers of new roads, marking a significant step towards improving urban mobility and accommodating future growth.

This plan is in line with Dubai’s vision to address the city’s expanding population and urban development. According to the Dubai Urban Master Plan 2040, the city’s population is expected to grow to 5.8 million by 2040, up from the current population of 3.8 million.
