H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative for the Al Ain Region, visited the Al Fakhr Winter Camp designed for the sons of martyrs in Remah. This camp, organized by the Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office at the Presidential Court, in collaboration with the Emirates Falconers’ Club and Mohamed bin Zayed Falconry and Desert Physiognomy School (FDPS), will run until December 12, 2025.

During his visit, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed participated in a range of activities, including an educational session held in partnership with the International Fund for Houbara Conservation. The session concentrated on the significance of Houbara bustards and contemporary conservation techniques.

The camp also hosts a variety of sporting and recreational activities like a football tournament and a virtual reality hunting session, fostering a healthy lifestyle among the young attendees.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed emphasized the UAE's commitment to supporting the sons of martyrs as a national obligation, guided by President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He remarked that the UAE implements programs aimed at developing the skills of children of fallen heroes, encouraging youth initiatives, and enhancing creativity and leadership.

He also pointed out that the camp embodies the UAE’s vision for youth empowerment, a fundamental aspect of the country's evolution. Investing in the youth is essential for the nation's future development, supporting cultural objectives, and safeguarding national achievements.

Accompanying Sheikh Hazza were Sheikh Zayed bin Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abdulla Ghurair Al Qubaisi, Director of the Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office.

The Al Fakhr Winter Camp – Remah is backed by prominent organizations that foster youth leadership, including the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi.

This winter camp is attended by 63 sons of martyrs aged between 12 and 16. The program features educational sessions on Emirati traditions, falconry and Arabic coffee workshops, sports activities, heritage lessons, scientific talent enhancement, and guidance on healthy nutrition.
