Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, welcomed Joe Saddi, Lebanon’s Minister of Energy and Water, in Abu Dhabi today. The meeting, which was also attended by Dr. Ghassan Salamé, Lebanon’s Minister of Culture, marked a significant step in strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the UAE and Lebanon.

During the meeting, the leaders highlighted the long-standing fraternal relations that unite the two nations. They discussed multiple ways to enhance collaboration in sectors that serve their mutual interests, particularly focusing on energy, trade, economic development, and cultural exchange. Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting Lebanon in its development initiatives, especially in areas such as energy security, water management, and sustainable infrastructure projects.

The UAE, with its advanced expertise in solar power, water desalination, and energy efficiency, offered to share knowledge and support Lebanon’s energy projects, helping the country meet its growing energy and environmental needs.

The leaders also discussed strategies to encourage private sector collaboration, joint investments, and trade initiatives. They explored ways to create a stronger economic partnership, benefiting businesses and citizens in both nations. Sheikh Abdullah highlighted that UAE-Lebanon cooperation is not only a diplomatic priority but also a practical approach to promoting stability, growth, and prosperity in the region.

By focusing on energy, culture, and trade, both countries aim to create long-term frameworks that support sustainable development and mutual prosperity.

Officials emphasized that continuous dialogue and collaboration would help overcome regional challenges, strengthen economic resilience, and expand opportunities for future generations. The UAE’s support for Lebanon is seen as part of a wider strategy to maintain peace, enhance economic partnerships, and encourage cultural exchange throughout the Middle East.

The engagement between Sheikh Abdullah and Minister Saddi also sends a strong signal to the international community that the UAE and Lebanon are committed to deepening their partnership, exploring innovative solutions to shared challenges, and building a future of sustainable growth.
