Sharjah unveils Fashion Lab to empower local designers and fashion

Sharjah has started a new project called the "Sharjah Fashion Lab" to help fashion designers grow and reach the world market. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, made this plan as part of the "Sharjah Creative Quarter." This project will make Sharjah a strong place for arts, crafts, and fashion and help new ideas in the fashion world.

The Sharjah Fashion Lab will give local designers the tools, machines, and expert help they need to make better clothes and follow world fashion rules. It will also help fashion businesses in the UAE and the Gulf region. The lab will offer expert advice, help in making sample designs, and support in production to make sure fashion brands can grow and sell their clothes in different countries.

Sheikha Hoor Al Qasimi, head of the Sharjah Creative Quarter, said that this lab will help Sharjah’s fashion world grow. She said that the lab is not just a workplace, but a space where designers can learn new things, work together, and bring fresh ideas. The lab will have modern machines and new fashion technology. She also said that Sharjah wants to support young people and help them create fashion that matches local and global trends.

The lab will also help with small-scale production, allowing designers to make up to 30 pieces at a time.
