Manchester United will cut more jobs to save money after losing money for five years. The club said it will remove 150-200 jobs, in addition to 250 jobs that were cut last year.

This decision comes after Jim Ratcliffe, a British billionaire, bought 25% of the club and took control of football matters. Since then, the club has been working to spend less money and improve performance on the field.
Last September, Manchester United reported another big loss after failing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. The club’s CEO, Omar Berrada, said, "We have lost money for the past five years. This must stop."
To save more money, the club will stop giving free lunches to staff at Old Trafford, which will save over $1.26 million (AED 4.63 million) per year. Some staff members will move to the Carrington training ground instead of working at Old Trafford.
Bonuses for top club officials will also be reduced and will now depend on how well the team plays and how much money the club makes.
Manchester United will also stop giving money to outside charities and will only support its own groups, such as the Manchester United Foundation and the Manchester United Disabled Supporters’ Association.
The Manchester United Foundation raised £608,000 last season from ticket sales and online donations. This money helps young people through education and community programs.
Berrada said these changes will help Manchester United become a stronger and more stable club.
