Sharjah Airport has recorded impressive growth in the third quarter of 2025, reinforcing its status as a major regional and international aviation hub. The number of passengers soared to 5,127,120, reflecting a 16.7% increase over the same period last year, when 4.39 million travelers passed through the airport.
Aircraft movements also showed notable gains, with 30,737 scheduled and non-scheduled flights, up 10.7% from 27,758 flights in Q3 2024. Cargo operations maintained steady growth, handling 48,073 tonnes, a 3.9% rise compared to 46,284 tonnes in the previous year. The sea-air freight segment stood out with a 32.8% increase, rising from 3,236 tonnes to 4,296 tonnes, highlighting the airport’s expanding logistics capabilities.

This growth comes as a result of ongoing investment in infrastructure, capacity expansion, and digital technologies, aimed at enhancing efficiency and the overall passenger experience. By continuously upgrading facilities and expanding air routes, Sharjah Airport is strengthening its position as a key player in the aviation sector.
The airport’s consistent growth also reflects broader trends in regional air travel, as more travelers and cargo operators turn to Sharjah for connectivity and logistical solutions.
