The Sharjah Debt Settlement Committee, which was established under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has been a key initiative to provide financial relief to those in need, particularly individuals facing significant debts. The committee’s efforts reflect the Ruler’s commitment to ensuring that citizens lead a stable, dignified life, free from the pressures of debt.
Al-Sheikh further highlighted that the total funds approved and distributed since the start of the debt settlement program, from the first installment up to the twenty-seventh, have reached an impressive sum of one billion, 203 million, 637 thousand, and 153 dirhams. These funds have directly benefited 2,501 individuals across Sharjah, helping them recover from their financial difficulties and restart their lives with dignity.
The program, which addresses cases across various categories, continues to have a significant impact on the community, with the government working tirelessly to support citizens and residents in regaining their financial stability. By extending a helping hand to those in debt, particularly in cases involving legal convictions or insolvency, the committee aims to ease the stress and provide individuals with the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
In addition to this, the Committee’s ongoing efforts are a demonstration of the government’s dedication to welfare, especially for the citizens of Sharjah. The substantial sum allocated over the years under this debt settlement initiative plays a crucial role in supporting the UAE’s broader economic goals, ensuring social stability, and boosting the confidence of its citizens in the fairness and responsiveness of the government.
Al-Sheikh emphasized that the committee will continue to uphold its responsibility, and the support for future installments remains strong, underlining the Ruler’s vision of a prosperous, stable, and financially secure society.
