Dubai, UAE, September 23, 2025: His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, officially inaugurated the 24th edition of Ru’ya, Careers UAE today at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The flagship career and skill development event welcomed thousands of young Emiratis, supporting the UAE’s vision to equip national talents with the skills and opportunities needed to thrive in a dynamic job market.
During the inauguration, H.E. Al Awar visited various exhibitors representing leading private and public sector organizations, including Emirates Group, ADNOC, Dubai Government Human Resources Department, Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai College of Tourism, UAE Accountability Authority, Chalhoub Group, Al Rostamani Group, Dubai Duty Free, ENOC, Higher Colleges of Technology, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Majid Al Futtaim, EGA, Ministry of Defence, DP World, and AWR Group.
Ru’ya 2025 is organized in partnership with government bodies such as the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, the Emirati Human Resources Development Council (EHRDC), the Ministry of Education, and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). Their support ensures the event directly advances the UAE’s Emiratisation agenda and national workforce strategies.
His Excellency Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Deputy Chairman of EHRDC and Director-General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, said: “Our participation in this premier event reflects our commitment to building strong partnerships across sectors and guiding young Emiratis toward careers that meet future market needs. It reinforces Dubai’s position as a global hub for talent and innovation and strengthens the role of Emirati professionals in national development. This aligns with the directives of our wise leadership and supports the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision.”
He added: “Ru’ya serves as a strategic platform that enhances our programs and initiatives aimed at equipping national talents with the skills to overcome emerging challenges. It promotes labor market integration, prepares future leaders and innovators, and ensures prosperity across all levels of society.”
Over the next three days, thousands of young Emiratis will interact with recruiters, career coaches, industry leaders, and exhibitors from 25 key sectors. Attendees will participate in workshops and upskilling programs under the main pillars of ‘Empowerment & Leadership’, ‘Entrepreneurship & Innovation’, and ‘STEM’, supporting the UAE’s national development strategy.
Asma Al Sharif, Assistant Vice President for Sustainability and Exhibitions Management at Dubai World Trade Centre, said: “This unique career fair links Emirati talent with the nation’s top companies, offering three days of networking, skill-building, and thought leadership. Attendees can tackle real-world challenges and showcase their abilities to potential employers. With over 180 exhibitors, this edition is the largest to date, presenting unmatched opportunities for professional growth and innovation, in line with national strategies like We the UAE 2031.”
Ru’ya 2025 features a diverse lineup of competitions to inspire innovation and entrepreneurship, including Future Fit, Future Scientist Award, Game On to Mars, Ru’ya Hackathon, Ru’ya Academy, The Next Founder, and Youth X. These programs allow Emiratis to display creativity, technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and entrepreneurial drive.
A highlight of this year’s edition is the Academic Hub, designed to connect students with universities, courses, and scholarships that match market demands, bridging the gap between education and employment.
The 2025 program introduces emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence and retail, alongside established fields like aviation, logistics, finance, healthcare, and technology, reflecting the UAE’s evolving economy while offering diverse career pathways.
