RAK Ruler Welcomes Michigan Governor, Witnesses Agreement Signing to Boost Innovation & Growth

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, warmly welcomed Gretchen Whitmer, Governor of the U.S. state of Michigan, during her visit to the emirate today. She was accompanied by a delegation of officials.

During their meeting, Sheikh Saud and Governor Whitmer discussed ways to strengthen ties between Ras Al Khaimah and Michigan, focusing on economic and commercial cooperation. They exchanged ideas on key topics that could benefit both regions, particularly in business, trade, and innovation.

After their discussions, Sheikh Saud and Governor Whitmer witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between three important organizations:

This agreement aims to enhance collaboration between Ras Al Khaimah and Michigan in technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, and education.

The signing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Robert Raines, Consul-General of the United States in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
