Starting from February 13, 2025, Indian citizens with ordinary passports and valid documents from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada will be eligible for a visa on arrival. This applies to all UAE entry points. These six countries have been added to the existing list, which already includes the United States, European Union countries, and the United Kingdom.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security, which manages immigration and border control in the UAE, shared this news in an official statement. The authority emphasized the importance of the UAE-India relationship and explained that this step is meant to make travel easier for Indian nationals.
This change is part of the UAE's efforts to bring more tourists and skilled workers and to build its reputation as a top global destination.
Indian travelers planning to use this facility must ensure their passports are valid for at least six months from the date of arrival. They can check this information on their passport or by contacting their passport office. They will also need to pay the applicable visa fees according to UAE regulations.
This update reflects the UAE's commitment to enhancing international travel convenience and fostering stronger global partnerships, particularly with India.
